Christian Heritage Speech Competition 2010

Suggested resources for Grades 3-5 topic (Revised 10/1/10)

 

Students at this age will not write a speech.  They will simply recite a work, being either a poem, hymn, historic

document, or Scripture lasting 3-5 minutes (quantity depends on pace of delivery).  Material is not limited to the following but must be related to American Christian Heritage.  Presentation may be all or a portion of a selected work.

• Student will state his or her name and the reference used
• Presentation will be no longer than five minutes
• Presentation will be scored on inflection, memory, and fluency
