General Theme: Education |
Rules. Speeches must be 3-5 minutes (penalty over five minutes). Students are allowed to speak higher than their current grade level but not lower. Students will give their speech twice and should plan to be available all day. The award ceremony is scheduled for 4pm following the conclusion of judging and tallying. A copy of the speech is required at check-in. Scoring places more emphasis on content than on theatrics. Props are allowed if portable and reasonable (no set up time). Students are encouraged to do their own research and writing.

Christian Heritage Ministries
The first Christian Heritage Week took place in Albuquerque, New Mexico,
November 10-16, 1991. Citizens for Excellence in Education and Christian
Heritage Ministries worked hand-in-hand to make this week a true revival of the
Christian principles, values, and virtues upon which this nation under God was
founded.
